Elzybells girls birthday card

I had to make a birthday card for a good friend of mine, so i found this sweet friend image stamped for me in an image swap, on a forum i go on.

I used watercolour pencils, and sakura pens to colour them, and mounted them onto bright pink bazzill card.

I adore this new paisley black and white paper from doodlebug, and thought it would look great with small bits coloured in, so i used the same pink sakura pen to outline all the teardrop shapes. It looks much shinier IRL.

The small birthday peeloffs are again anitas. I really do need to buy some more birthday sentiment stamps!

Its been nice making cards again today as ive felt really poorly all weekend. My ME is really playing up and ive felt like a zombie most of the weekend. Im still not feeling great, but its been nice to sit and craft for a few hours. it takes my mind off worrying about feeling so ill again.

Di Hickman challenge august#3

This card is based on the sketch by Di Hickman

I decided to try and use a colour that i dont often use so chose this fun green spotty paper, and a smaller piece of stripy paper. Im not sure who these papers are by as i got them as a gift.

I wanted a contrast colour so used an orangy/yellow bazzill card as the top layer of the sketch.

I used a glittery sentiment sticker that i bought from a gift shop(but i think they are now sold by papermania), and folded over 2 prima flowers and held them together with a brad.

I added a small strip of green bazzill card along the top as it seemed too big a space, and added some glitter dots with a sakura pen, and also the indents of the embossed flowers.

Marie sketch challenge.

This card is inspired by the sketch over at Marie's . The challenge also stated that we had to use our favourite stamp and explain why.

Well, one of my newer stamps from penny black is my fave at the moment. I love how thin and clean the lines of these designs are and the frog is just so cute. Its such a versatile stamp as well as it can be used for male and female cards and for all sorts of greetings.

Again, i love the pink and lime green combination as its so fresh and spring like.

Ive mounted the image on bazzill card and added 2 strips of green on either side, which ive added a shimmer to with a clear stardust pen to make it stand out against the green background paper.(much more shimmery IRL).

Ive used doodlebug paper(yes i am addicted!) and some pretty pink ribbon by papermania.

The greeting is kept small in the bottom corner and is a tahnk you peel off by anitas.

BEATE's challenge card

This card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Beate's. I did start off with black retro paper and a reddy/pink card, but its just wasnt working so i decided on these gorgeous doodlebug and rob and bob studio papers.

The chipboard flower is coloured with Brilliance dew drops a few times and glamour dusted. I punched a small heart for the centre to pick up on the hearts on the paper.

Ive edged all the squares with a clear stardust sakura pen to add some definition.

The sentiment is a cute little hero arts stamp.

Doodlebug Birthday

I decided i needed to try and use some of my beloved doodlebug stash, so i made this cupcake card. The sticker and scalloped edged strip is from the new birthday stickers and the ribbon is to match. The embossed background was done for me by a forum friend on a cuttlebug, and the scalloped edged oval shape was punched for me by forum friend also. I used a sakura stardust pen on the embossed flowers and around the oval.
to add some glitz, then made small slits for the ribbon to slide through.
The happy birthday stamp is an inca stamp that i seperated by taping off each word.
Im not all that happy with this one as the ribbon was wonky but i love these pastel colours.
