time's up!

Good evening lovely followers! Thank you all for such lovely comments again. It's always so lovely to go on your blog and find comments to read.It always means a lot to me so thank you!

Well, time's up. The local fayre is tomorrow! I can do no more! My word am I wiped out. I had to ask my sis to take my niece home today as I just feel so tired, I needed a quieter night and to sleep without being kicked or hit on the face by wriggler! lol

I am praying it goes well tomorrow and I sell some stuff. I've worked so hard for weeks and am getting run down now (sore throat and glands up) so it better be worth it! lol
I've loved it though and am finding that I'm in such a swing of crafting now and my mojo is running wild.

Here are some bits I've made:

This is the sign I made for my stall. My new "business" is now called Butterfly wings and crafty things, a lovely suggestion from Victoria (the gooner ;-) ) . Thank you Vixx, I love the name!

I had these alpha stickers for ages, but they are just perfect for this theme. Emily suggested I weave ribbon in through the holes and I think it looks lovely! She was very proud that I did what she said.

I wanted to make a few easel cards but ran out of energy today, so this is all I made. I adore this image!

I am loving using the new fine tips for the promarkers. I got some free with each pen I bought from Letraset, and they are so helpful for colouring and blending in smaller areas. Emily loves them too as is very neat with them.

Here is the distressed/shabby chicy album I mentioned:

I will show you Emily's cards soon, but I need to get to beddie byes, as I have to leave by 10am. This is very early for me, as I don't normally wake up until 11 ish most days.

I wish you all a happy bank holiday Monday. Fingers crossed for me that I sell some stuff after weeks of non stop crafting! lol xxxxxxxxx

crafting is tiring work!

hello lovely followers! I am so worn out!! This crafting for a craft fair lark is very tiring! I'm shattered, but have made a lovely distressed/shabby chicy family chipboard album today.
I'll try to get pics on here tomo to show you all, but the light is too rubbish to take them tonight.
I've got my niece with me again and she's becoming addicted to my promarkers. She coloured an image in beautifully today and she now wants to make a few cards to sell at the fair with me. She really seems to be watching me and how to colour like me, bless her, which is very touching. She now also wants a crafting area in her room like me with shelves over it. I think I have a little protege on my hands!

Right, well I promised some card photos so here they are. I hope you like them. xx

The purple one is a normal small sized card but the other 3 are the 8x8" which I love.
I'm off to finish eating and watching my beloved Tottenham on tv!
Night night all. I'm sorry i've not managed to get round your blogs for a few days. I'll catch up when I can xxx

Baby girl album

Hello all you crafty lot!

I have been so busy crafting for the fair on monday and it's exhausting! lol Having to get a good amount made is quite pressuring when I'm so tired all the time, but it's been fun. I'm just resting as much as I can inbetween so I can make enough.

This is a baby girl album i've made. I'm trying to make one of each and then I can take orders if people want more. (here's hoping!)

I hope you like it:

I've got some cards to show as well but i'm worn out so will show you those tomorrow.
I hope you are all enjoying your week xxxxxxxxx

Birthday chipboard album.

Hello everyone!! I hope you all have a little bit of sunshine like I do today. Where on earth did our summer go? The leaves are already turning and falling off and we've not had a summery August yet! My little Millie moo moo's is very happy about this as she adores chasing and ripping up leaves. She spotted them yesterday and her waggy tail was going mad! I took lots of photos on my phone, but she was running like mad so they were all blurry, so I held a leaf up to get her sitting still! lol

Right back to crafting. I am completely drained lately, since having the girls, but have so much to make for the craft fair, so I'm doing as much crafting as I can, inbetween rests and long sleeps!

I love making chipboard scrapbook albums and decided to make a birthday one that could appeal to a range of people, but probably teenage girls. I hope you like it:

I am entering this into the Ribbon girl challenge, which is to make something new using ribbon. I think this qualifies!! lol
The challenge ends on Sat, 27th August, so why not have a go?

I love using lots of colour for these and just hope I sell some. I normally sell these for £25 but worry people think that's too expensive. What do you think? The cost of all the papers and stuff as we know are not cheap, but will that price put people off?

Thank you for lots of suggestions for my name! I'm loving "Butterfly wings and crafty things by Kerryn, and ladybugs and crafty hugs by Kerryn" but can't decide which one!! lol

I do love my little ladybug stamp I use by my "handmade by" so it might have to be the ladybugs one. Thank you Vicky for great suggestions!

Right I need to go get crafting! Thank you as always for taking the time to visit and comment on my blog. It is appreciated x x

Crafting with my little apprentices.

hello everyone! I hope you are all well and enjoying your crafting.

I had my 11 year old niece, Emily and cousin Jade to stay with me for 2 nights for a little treat in the summer holidays. They love spending time together and Jade hadn't stayed here before so it was fun time at Auntie Kezza's!

As I have lots of crafting to do for the craft fair, I thought i'd set the girls up on my bed with lots of crafty bits and let them make some cards. They are both creative girls who enjoy art, so I knew they'd make some nice ones.

They made great use of my paper scraps box and bits of ribbon and glitter pens. They both loved my promarkers and tried to use every colour I think! lol

I thought you'd like to see some creations from them as they worked so hard and it all came from them.

This is my pride and joy, my niece Emily, who I adore spending time with and am very close to. (I'm her second mummy really). This card she made for her mum for starting her new job with our Auntie's business:

I wish I'd taken a close up of this card. I just love the colours she chose and how neatly she had coloured the background paper. It's glittered in places too and she blended some colours as well. My sis completely adored it as you can imagine!

Here are her other two cards:

She made this one for her beloved little doggie. She said she knows Shiloh won't understand but she loves her and wanted to make a doggie card! So cute.

I can't remember who this one was for but she adored my Magnolia butterfly stamp and glittery card. I love how kids don't care what colours go together and just use them all!

This is Jade with her favourite card:

She made this beautiful card for her little 4 year old sister. It also has lots of glitter pen over it and I love how she has used the fluffy ribbon around the frame.

here are her other cards:

These were for her two brothers. One who is now 14 and is away at cadet camp. The get well card is for her baby brother, who is poorly with a chest virus and bad throat :-(

She also made these too:

This is for her dad's (my uncle) new job

and this last one is for her dad's fiance.

I was so proud of them and they were in their element creating and cutting and sticking. My bedroom now looks a right mess and I'll be picking up scraps of card and tape paper for ages! lol

Right, now I really need some help. I want a "business" name for my stall and so I can make more of a go at selling my stuff.
Now I am stuck, as I am mentally and physically exhausted from having the girls and my brain doesn't seem to want to work.

I would rather not just got for the easy "Kerryn's crafts" option. I'd like something that I can use as a theme throughout everything I make, as well as business cards etc....

So I thought about things I love and it's come down to snails, ladybugs and butterflies. Pretty typical I know, but they are something I can use as a theme.
I also normally stamp "handmade by Kerryn" on the back of my cards, alongside either a little ladybug stamp from Elzybells, or a little snail or flower, just to add a cute touch.

I'm quite drawn to snails and cute doodles of them and as my life is now mostly at a "snail's pace" due to my illnesses, I thought it would bring something personal to it. Saying that does it insinuate that I'm slow at crafting? I do have to make sure I tell buyers that I do sometimes need a few weeks to get things made, but I haven't had a problem with this so far.

So, can you lovely lot help me and throw some suggestions at me?

Are any of these ok?:

Snail crafts? (doesn't work does it?)
Ladybug crafts?
Ladybird crafts?

Kerryn's Krafty makes?
Kerryn's crafty makes?

Kerryn's crafty corner?
Crafts by Kezza?

I would appreciate it so much to have any help with this. Thank you in advance xxx  I wish you all a good day. I hope you are having some sun where you are. It's dull and grey, with rain due here. Lovely summer weather as always! lol
